About The TOEFL

The TOEFL is a college entrance exam for non-native speakers. Each college determines the score needed for acceptance. Learners need to be reading, listening, speaking and writing at an eleventh grade level.

  • Serial publications, such as Peterson’s TOEFL Success are updated on a regular basis, often yearly. You can usually find the publication year of a serial by checking the Call # and Status field. To be sure you get the issue you want, ask the library staff to place your request.

  3. Your username is your library card number. Create your own password.
  4. Follow the prompts on the screen.
  5. Look for the TOEFL section
  6. There are six sections to the TOEFL Exam Success Course
  7. This course provides helpful tips and advice on preparing for and taking the TOEFL exam
  8. Select the one you want to start with and it will be added to your list of tests and courses
  9. Start the course and work through as much as you wish to
  • You can return to read the course materials again and continue with other sections of the course. Returning users can login with their username and password.

 

Teaching Tip

Test taking practice is most important. The test is given on a computer.
